Light Up the Lake

Calling all holly jolly folks to join the library for a magical day of fun festivities at Light Up the Lake! We will be in Millennium Park, located at 900 Lakeshore Drive in Lake Charles. Stop by the library table to check out holiday items & grab some fun freebies!

Light Up the Lake festivities kick off at noon with over 20 holiday market vendors, a food truck plaza, beverage tent, a Kids Zone at Millennium Park, and more! Live music begins at 1:30 pm and goes until Mayor Nic Hunter flips the switch to illuminate the lakefront at 6:30 pm. After the lighting ceremony attendees can attend the boat parade and watch the fireworks display over the lake. 

The library is teaming up with the City of Lake Charles Recreation and Parks Department to be set up in the Kids Zone at Millennium Park from 12 - 5 pm, weather permitting. Mark your calendars and bring the whole family to kick off the holiday season in Lake Charles!
