Celebrate National Pro Bono Week! We're excited to announce that Lawyers in Libraries is returning to the Calcasieu Parish Public Library to offer free, limited services to patrons. Time slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration is required.
Ask-a-Lawyer sessions are two-hour events where volunteer attorneys meet with patrons one-on-one at the library to answer civil legal questions and connect them to additional resources. Each individual session will last 15 to 20 minutes. Volunteer attorneys will provide as much information and guidance as they feel comfortable sharing.
This location features two buildings: the main branch, offering popular material and internet access, and the Iowa Activity Annex, which hosts events and includes a community meeting room.
