Breaking mews! The library is teaming up with Hobo Hotel for the purr-fect Caturday! Ready to work on your litter-acy and read to cats? Meet us on Saturday, August 13th, for a paws-itively great time!

Children in kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to practice their literacy skills while reading to cats and kittens at Hobo Hotel! Join the library at 650 E. School St., Lake Charles, LA 70607. Parking is limited, so registration is required.

About the branch

Since 2016, the Maplewood Outreach Center has served as the hub for Outreach Services and Library To-Go—our delivery program for homebound individuals. Those unable to visit a library due to age, illness, or disability can apply to have books, movies, and more brought directly to their door by a friendly staff member. We're proud to serve patrons with temporary or permanent disabilities across the parish.
