Central Teen/YA Room (1st floor)

Join us for a Spooky-Themed Creative Writing workshop led by current writers in the MFA program at McNeese State University!

This workshop is designed to introduce young writers (middle school to high school) to creative writing. We will engage with the narratives of ghost stories, folklore, monsters, and other spooky traditions. We will explore the transformation of the landscape when the seasons change from summer to fall. The workshop focuses on writing short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. We also welcome any young artists and illustrators who are interested in pairing their illustrations with stories through comic-book writing.

Bring your creativity & curiosity! We'll read, write, talk, & share stories together!
