Learn about the Libraries Southwest Consortium

Libraries Southwest (LSW) is a non-profit organization comprising libraries, librarians, trustees, and individuals dedicated to promoting and enhancing library services in Southwest Louisiana. This Consortium provides a range of services. 

If you do not meet the requirements to register for a Calcasieu Parish Library card, through the Library Southwest Reciprocal Borrower's Agreement, you may be eligible to obtain a library card from other participating libraries. See lists below of participating parishes, what is needed to obtain a library card, etc.  

Please note that not all member libraries participate in the reciprocal borrowing agreement. Some are only part of the LSW OverDrive Consortium, which shares a collection of audiobooks and eBooks.

To get a card at one of the libraries participating in the Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement other than your home library, you will need to bring the your current photo ID, proof of address in one of the participating parishes, and your physical card issued by home parish.
