Impacts of Updating Account Details

Changes to your card or email may affect resource access.

If you change your library card number or email address, it may affect your access to the following digital resources: Freading, freegalmusic+, hooplaDigital, Kanopy, Library Elf, Loanshark, Mango Languages, OverDrive or Libby, by OverDrive, and Udemy.


Freading

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Once you log in with a new card number, you're considered a new user. All checked out content is lost.

Changed Email Address: Email not tied to account.


freegalmusic+

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Replacing your library card assigns a new barcode. Because music, playlists, and wish lists are tied to the old barcode, they cannot be transferred and must be recreated. Backing up your music is recommended before making the change.

Changed Email Address: Change notification email address under "My Account" then "Notifications".


hooplaDigital

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Update card number (or pin) in Settings, then in the Library section.

Changed Email Address: You'll need your previous email address to log in. To update your email address, click on the email address in the top right corner.

No longer have access to old email: Create a new account with a new email address or contact your branch for further assistance.


Kanopy

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Update card number through the dashboard, then "Edit Library Card".

Changed Email Address: Update address via the dashboard, then "Edit Profile".


Library Elf

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Add replacement ID then and remove lost ID in account.

Changed Email Address: View "My Account", "Sign-in" tab, enter a new address, then click "Save".
A confirmation email will be sent, so please confirm.

Close Account: Sign in, then view "My Account", then click "Close Account".


Loanshark (Interlibrary Loan)

Lost Card: Alert staff so that the new card number and any existing ILL requests can be updated within this service.

Changed Email Address: Change under Your Account > Your Profile.


Mango Languages

Changed Email Address: Update email address in the "Profile" section.


OverDrive and Libby, by OverDrive

Lost Card or Replacement Card: Alert staff so that library cards can be merged and holds and/or checkouts can be transferred.

Changed Email Address: Email notifications are enabled when placing holds. Feel free to update your email address during the hold process.


Udemy | Gale Presents: Udemy
